Who are you?
I’m Andy Wood and I’m a retired business geek and author. I’ve raised over $200 million in venture capital, worked with some of the biggest sports and media brands on the planet, and have been listed twice in the Who’s Who of Britain’s Business Elite.
When working on my own writing, I realized that finding the latest and best tools, and staying up-to-date on what’s new in writing, publishing, and book promotion was too time consuming using search engines.
Search results, curated only by algorithms, have become a misleading blend of paid or optimised links that don’t necessarily reflect the quality of the content they link to. Clicking on each link to try to figure out what’s useful and what’s not is a waste of valuable writing time, and drives me crazy!
Looking for an alternative to search engines, I noticed that there are no author-specific sites where I could put together a public list of my own favorite software and content links, and organise them into meaningful collections.
So I decided to create my own site, combining these three features, and WPP was born.
I curate all links. Take a look at the Content Guidelines if you want more information about contributing, suggesting links. If you are not interested in adding links but just want to create your own personal collections, using this site as a reference, then you are welcome!
