Write
Before you can hope to publish and promote, you have to get the basics of writing under your belt. You’ll need to learn a few skills, read a lot of books, probably attend a few courses, conferences and seminars, and share your work with other writers. That is, if you really want to publish.
If all you’re really interested in is getting the words out of your head, and you don’t plan on sharing your work with anyone other than your family and friends, then you can probably get away with the odd misspelling or grammatical error. Maybe they won’t point them out, and hurt your feelings. If you’re looking for a wider audience, though, start with the basics, and never forget them.
This section of the site is designed to help you with every aspect of writing, from choosing the kind of writing you want to focus on (short fiction, novel, poetry, non-fiction books, technical manuals, web pages, magazine articles) to polishing your craft.
I’ll be posting links to the best books, sites, courses and conferences for would be writers that I have come accross with reviews, and possibly criticisms. If you have a valuable writers’ resource you would like to see included, let me know and I’ll do my best to cover it.
I’ll also be discussing online writing as a potential career, and one that is often overlooked, or underestimated. So I’ll be discussing the various article directories and content mills that I’ve come accross and telling you which ones I think are worth your time and effort, and which ones to steer clear of. If you have experiences with any of them, and are prepared to disclose your earnings (to me at least, I won’t share that information with site readers unless you’re happy for me to do so) then get in touch with your reviews or comments.
If you’re serious, your online writing career starts here.
